Lightbulb A Couple of Insights.......

How about a Player Vs. Monster Arena?????? Where we can fight waves of monsters and bosses to get exp/fame/items/something cool! I think this idea would be really cool. And maybe we can have a seperate Player Vs. Monster arena at the guild hall, where we have to defend our guild hall against waves of monsters to keep it or something like that.

Another Idea is that we should create a shop or something, i dont know about you..........but i hate trying to browse for somethign that i want with 459453 billion people posting that they are selling something/buying something every 3 seconds! maybe we can have a main shop to throw our items on and sell it or have invididual shops (personally i like the main shop better, that way we can go there to buy/sell and when you sell something a price is taken from the total).

One other thing that i think would be SO AWESOME.................i know this one will never happen but i want to say it anyways................remember diablo 2? what if guild wars brought something like the gems and socket items to guild wars??? i think that would increase playability and i would surely love to own one! we need more items and more customizing...........thats what mmorpgs are somewhat* about. i know it would make it a lot better, and im not saying bring some UBER ELITE items to the game, i dont want that.


P.S. Im not complaining either, i love this game and i do like it as is..........was just posting suggestions

1. I agree that there should be some kind of arena against monsters, leading to a level thats almost seemingly impossible, but you shouldn't get fame for that. Also, the very last mission is somewhat like what you are talking about.

2. Trading in new MMORPGs will always be difficult. I'm not trading at all, im just stocking or giving away to guild members. Hopefully trading sites like dtrades for diablo will arise, that will make trading easier.

3.I'm going to have to completely disagree there. First of all, there are already Hilts/strings/handles ect that weapons have that I thought was a brilliant idea (salvaging a sword for a hilt then using it on a different sword). If you dont think thats customization right there then I don't know what is. When you add tons of socketables (like diablo, gems runewords ect) it turns into only 3-4 different things that you should put and everything else is just useless. (ie diablo gems were completely useless, people used sheal/jah/zod/duped jewels) and everything else became worthless.

For #2. I disagree with the wesbite idea completely, we shouldnt have to go out of game to find an item we want.

and for #3. i think that it is a good idea.............just because theres already hilts and what not, doesnt meant here is that many........and that they are actually worth having. Not to mention...........when i put a fire string or lightning string on a bow..............id expect it to show lightning/fire arrows.

I really love this idea but if you get anything at all out of it (fame, loot) then it will be unfair for the PvPers who work hard for fame, and it will be easy farming. If it's reward-less then some people may think it's pointless and it won't be a popular feature.

I think maybe if you finish a bunch of waves/levels then you get a skill point? It could be a fun alternative from grinding to the next skill point from level 20.

Like the skill point idea, but you know fighting PVE is equally as hard as any PvP... in fact I think some mobs to be 10x harder then any human

I would love for people to be able to upload their own guild emblems, so they can make it say what they want and look the way they want. Of course if this happened, they wouldnt be able to use it until it was cleared as "appropriate" material and then it will show.

It would be nice to have a battle arena or collesium to fight battles against legendary monsters, swarms of enemies, ancient heros and the like, that are PvE battles. It would be a nice way for players to earn Exp or skill points, which helps players earn up more skills for other secondary jobs after they gain the ability to change secondaries. All I can say, the greater the reward the harder the battle, and having a random selection of enemies would keep players from preparing souly to face a certain monster with skills particularly chosen to beat it.

Fame and rank should not be given for such battles though, because no matter how hard a PvE battle is, it is not in the same competative arena as PvP. The most they should give is a visable title for beating certain ultra creatures, but this could be covered simply by having extremely rare weapons and armors/crafting materials dropped by certain ultra creatures, so players will know you have beaten such if you have that rare weapon.

I also think it would be very nice if there were Traders that would buy rare items like runes, weapon parts, and other rare matierials at a competative price, and make the same items available for other players to buy.... at a slightly raised price. Alot of players want an auction house, but I think this will give way to unfair and unbalanced pricing. If there are certain merchants (Traders) that exchange rare and special items which can then be made available to players on any district of that same area, then players could save the hastle of trying to find that particular person to buy thier product, and the buyer wouldn't have to search everywhere for that particular item, and then try to get a reasonable price. Because players would lose a certain amount to the system there would still be reason to trade directly, but the opportunity to get money for items right away can easily outweigh searching forever to find a buyer, and vice versa, quite simply, time is money and players could make more money and find more items instead of wait in town for days to get thier merchandise sold.

It is important to remember that not any item can be traded off, or put in an auction house system, because many weapons and shields are the same construct but have variant stats from the begining to the end of the game, this limits players from putting anything they find up for trade. But concrete items like runes, weapon parts, and rare crafting materials are static, and do not have various stats, which makes them much more reasonable to catagorize and trade. The flaw lies in the ability for players to activate all the runes and weapon components on thier PvP characters through easy access to such items, but it is even easier for players in a guild or friends to pass around a superior rune of (anything) for free and activate it, at least a Trader will charge them money, a reasonable amount of money for that item.

Lastly, is quantity, and whether or not prices (bought and sold) on a Trader would increase or decrease with the amount in stock, and if there is a maximum amount he would accept. There are alot of factors to consider, and I could go on with more, but it is up to the Devs to decide if certain tools/functions could and should be added and test them for balance and stability. I only hope something stupid like an Auction House woln't be instituted, because it only takes a handful of immature players to jack up prices to unreasonable prices.
